Tok Bali is situated at 45 kilometers south of the city of Kota Bahru, Kelantan, in Malaysia. It experienced rapid development in its history, and already become an essential part to Kelantan and generally to the Malaysian economy. Tok Bali Port is traditionally a fishing port and it it envisaged to transform into a Maritime terminal serving a multi purpose port and an oil & gas support facilities
Development strategy for Tok Bali and its transformation into an International Maritime center and Oil & Gas support hub for the region.
Tok Bali port is also planned to participate in the Oil & Gas trade within the region and Asia contributed about 15% of the world’s global oil & gas market. With new discovery in Oil & Gas reserves in the region, makes Asia a contributor and consumer in energy resources. Tourism and hospitality industries are also in the master plan of Tok Bali port and the development of the port hinterland will spur economic activity and growth for Tok Bali and generally Kelantan.

The Tok Bali Gateway will form a common vision that Tok Bali become the gateway of choice for Kelantan to be a regional marine transportation of goods and services in Asia. As part of this development in Tok Bali including the land’s ownership, its development potential for goods/cargo, how it is serviced by road or rail, and environmental and social considerations are taken into consideration. The Study also recommended measures to determine the viability for marine movement of goods, services and passengers at these locations. This will include protecting, acquiring and developing these strategic lands as waterborne routes for freight, services and passenger movements is key to establishing an effective integrated system that will help developed Tok Bali as a premier port for container, bulk, liquid and Oil & Gas terminal.
